Last week, my Tita asked me to go with her at Antipolo Cathedral. She is really a devotee and everytime she visits our house she will find time to go there.
National Shrine of our Lady of Peace and Good Voyage
I was able to go around and visit the exhibit of artifacts of the Virgin. Picture-taking is not allowed so I don't have any photo of any single artifact they have in the exhibit. I've seen different pictures and images of the Lady of Peace and Good Voyage. There are also some articles posted about the foundation of the shrine.
The shrine is located near the Victory Park & Shop. It was a long time ago since I last visited this Shrine. I didn't have any idea that there are a lot of establishments and shops around the area. My bad. :(
Of course, it's been a tradition that right after visiting the Shrine we should go and visit the area where all the Pasalubongs are.
Antipolo's famous Casheeeeew!
Do you guys know the legend about the cashew? Through that you'll have a little idea of why the seed is outside but again, legends are just stories from the people. We don't have any genuine basis. hahaha!
This is the real CASHEW! I asked the vendor if the seed is the only edible part. HAHA! She told me that every part of the Cashew is edible. Too innocent. Sorry, I don't have any idea about that.
There are red cashew?
(HAHA! Are you a cashew? 'cause I'll surely CASHEW if you fall)
OKAY, FORGET ABOUT IT! :))
These are all Cashew Products.
Cashew in different flavors ( Plain, Sweet and Adobo)
You should try it!
Different delicacies. Pasalubong ng Bayan.
Cashew products, Pastillas, Banana Chips, Suman, Kalamay etc.
Antipolo's very own SUMAN SA IBOS
The main purpose of this post is not merely about the pasalubong but I post this one to wish everyone to have peace in their hearts and to have a good voyage in wherever God wants us to be.
Love,
Little Girl
