Beautiful Creatures

Time for our Movie date...

As usual, we never go out without these little arguments about things. Our "where to" and "what to" then followed by "okay I'll go with what you want" and "you decide, it's fine with me". It's all normal.

We had various movies to watch but we ended up watching Beautiful Creatures. This movie is from the makers of the " Twilight Saga"

Lemme share to you this supernatural love story.

Ethan Wate (Alden Ethenreich) 17, has had the same recurring dream for months. A mysterious young girl is waiting for him. on a Civil War Battlefield. Ethan desperately wants to be with her, but there is an unknown danger and each time the lightning bolt cracks like a gunshot, killing Ethan before he ever reaches the girl.

The danger of this strange dream world, however, is preferable to Ethan's waking existence in Gatlin, South Carolina, a small, conservative Southern town that hasn't caught up to the 21st century, where nothing ever changes and nothing ever happens. Trapped at home with a father who has completely withdrawn since the sudden death of Ethan's mother, Ethan yearns for a life he can only read about in books.
But Ethan's mundane world is shaken up with the arrival of Lena Duchannes (Alice Englert), the beautiful and enigmatic niece of Macon Ravenwood ( Jeremy Irons), the reclusive owner of gothic, Ravernwood Manor. Ethan finds himself immediately drawn to Lena, even though destruction seems to inexplicably follow her and it becomes apparent that she is a Caster, with powers beyond her control. The town, led by conservative Mrs. Lincoln (Emma Thompson), wants her banished. Even Gatlin's all-knowing librarian, Amma (Viola Davis), is afraid history may repeat itself - a history of family and a curse that looms for Lena as she approaches her 16th birthday. It is that time when a Caster is chosen by the forces of either the Light or the Dark.

But Lena's fate may already be sealed by the curse that draws both her and Ethan into a tangled web spells and peril which there may be no escape.

Together, they uncover dark secrets about their respective families, their history and their town.

We all went out of the movie house with one reaction, "WOW!"

It's indeed better than Twilight. The way they fought for their forbidden love is exceptional. Though people may find it extraordinary, it's still a usual story of two people who are completely in love with each other but with a supernatural twist.

Ethan and Lena proved that LOVE CONQUERS ALL

Lena : " We should stop this before it gets any worse. We have to try to forget each other. I don't want to see you anymore. I want to go."

Ethan: "There's no way I'm letting you go. Don't say anything just pretend we're just breaking up. Write to me. I'll write back. Trust me. Now pretend like you're really upset. I love you so much."
This is a must watch movie! My friend, Dare, even cried while watching this movie. And I, myself, was so amazed on how they find true love and how they conquer it with no fear.

People must dare to love, love until it hurts. Love until it's painful. Love until the end. Love over and over again. Isn't it a nice and wonderful thing to do? Spread the love, beautiful creature!

Love,
Little girl

FriDATE

“Oh come on! Gloomy weather on a Friday morning!” that’s my reaction when I woke up this morning. Do you also feel lazy when you wake up with a rainy day? Well, LAZINESS is indeed TAKING OVER ME (even if it’s not rainy).
Still, I have to go to school because I have to take my Law exam. Besides, my Law professor doesn’t deserve a rude treatment after all. Then, I attended my morning class just like a very studious kid.
When the time for dismissal came, everyone was talking about the suspension. (I was like “Why just now? What took them so long? My class just ended you know”) HAHA!
Thanks to my colleagues who were with me at the orgroom. Actually, this day was supposed to be our competition day. It’s an orgs got talent competition and we are supposed to win the title for the SBMA pride. We all waited there for some official announcements regarding the suspension of the classes as well as the update about the said competition. When everything was settled and all the announcements were claimed official, we all went to Trinoma to have a movie date.

Some took a ride with Kim ( a good friend and colleague of mine) because he brought his car. While the rest just took the cab to Trinoma.

There, we took our late lunch @ Bigoli.

Nice Interior design ...

My SKINNY LOVE

Last week, my very dear professor, Ma'am Lady Madrid, had the chance to stay with us at the orgroom. Well, she took her lunch there because she's not feeling good that time and unfortunately that day she had a full time schedule.

I played songs from my phone, one of which is SKINNY LOVE by BIRDY. (the original one is Bon Iver)

She asked me what's the meaning of Skinny Love. I explained to her that it's the kind of love that's not nourished enough. It's not healthy 'cause maybe the other side is not feeling the same way or maybe the other person doesn't get the intentions of the other. These explanations were just based from my opinion. I was surprised with  the explanation of the composer about the true meaning of the song SKINNY LOVE.

“It’s about that time in a relationship that I was going through; you’re in a relationship because you need help, but that’s not necessarily why you should be in a relationship. And that’s skinny. It doesn’t have weight. Skinny love doesn’t have a chance because it’s not nourished.
 - Bon Iver

People of the world, when we say or speak about relationships, it's not necessarily BF/GF thing. You can have relationship with any person like friends, colleagues , teammates , groupmates , orgmates etc.
With that, maybe at one point, you did have this kind of love for them or maybe they had this kind of love for you, this Skinny Love.

I'm trying to figure out the real meaning behind its lyrics

Here’s the lyrics:
Come on skinny love just last the year
Pour a little salt, we were never here
My, my, my, my, my, my, my, my
Staring at the sink of blood and crushed veneer

" Just last the year "  I can feel the pain! If one person is hurt, he or she wants to end everything as soon as possible. Admit it, just to escape from that pain we're going through, we just want to end up everything without saying a word.

"Pour a little salt, we were never here " Yes, you didn't do anything just to make me feel that I belong, that I'm just like any other colleague of yours. You didn't make any effort. (charot! tamang drama :p ) read between the lines. It's painful 'cause you can assume that one didn't do any effort to have a good relationship or maybe one is too concern but the other just don't feel the sincerity of the other one so they end up with nothing but casual relationship not even professional one.

I tell my love to wreck it all
Cut out all the ropes and let me fall
My, my, my, my, my, my, my, my
Right in this moment this order’s tall

" I tell my love to wreck it all , cut out all the ropes and let me fall " It's as if one is just staying silent, letting everything fall in its place. It's as if one wants to end the pain, the pain that was brought by the other. One wants to cut it all, to cut everything beginning from the concern down to the very love that's so genuine. (SAKIT! ramdam niyo?)

I told you to be patient
I told you to be fine
And I told you to be balanced
And I told you to be kind

" I TOLD YOU " Feel the concern from every word. It's as if one wants to tell the other these lines " Haven't I told you to believe in me? To believe in me 'cause I'll do the rest for you? 'cause I'll take the pain for you? 'cause I'll face the consequences of that day for you? I JUST WANT YOU TO BE PATIENT, TO BE FINE, TO BE BALANCED, TO BE KIND". P E R I O D .

Who will love you?Who will fight?
Who will fall far behind?

Just think about it. Who else will? Who can? Who can do that same thing for you?

It's nice to think about the real meaning of the songs we're singing. And yes, it's true that sometimes the lyrics of those songs are the words we would like to say, OUT LOUD!  Keep on singing!

Busy Life.

It's weekend already. Tomorrow, it's gonna be another day. It's the start of another week. There are another set of activities. Another responsibilities. wew .... LIFE Oh LIFE.

Sunday is actually my favorite day. True meaning behind? Well, I have time to relax, time for myself and time for those people I missed during weekdays. To put it simply, I can do my things during Sundays.

But life is getting busier for me. Tons of things to do. With that, it feels like I'm chasing my time. If there's one store that sells time, I might go and buy it all. This is immense! But no, it's still Time Management issue. I don't have to buy time because it's available and I have to use it well, right? To use my time effectively and efficiently, might give this problem a solution.

Oh there. hay. Yeah, I'm having rants and I don't want it this way. Thinking the cause of these, may be because I had mixed emotions during the week and I had so many issues to deal with (which were actually not mine). Sometimes I thought that I'm acting like a guidance counselor to those people around me. But the funny thing, they knew it already where to go and ask some piece of advice if there's something wrong. (thanks for the genuine trust!)

BUSY LIFE ... this is what I wanted for 2013. I actually prayed for a busy year. And it is happening.

Heart's Day 2013

Yesterday, February 14, was obviously Valentine’s Day.

How did I start my day? I woke up 3:30 AM, fixed myself for school and ran outside just to take the early cab to LRT 2. There, I saw many sweet couples. I even saw gentlemen with flowers and stuffs for Valentine’s Day. Well, it’s really the season.

I came to school 30 minutes late. But I did not care to walk fast. Instead, I just enjoyed my early walking while seeing the whole campus having a different ambience.

I was lucky enough because my professor came late as well :P

So there, we had some lectures and discussions with our very dear professor.

from charm, jeanice and kim <3

I had a 7 AM to 12 PM class yesterday and during breaks, I got some stuffs from my friends. Thank you sweeties!

It’s already late noon and I, with my co-novices, decided to have lunch together. We took a bus ride to get my friend’s car so that it’s easier for us to find a good restaurant for our lunch.

Hard-working colleague

Thank you Katlin, lovelots! <3
We couldn’t decide where to have our lunch. So Kat decided to take the road once more. And we ended up at Congo Grille.

It's located at #277 G/F Toledo Bldg., Tomas Morato Ave. cor. Sct. Limbaga, Brgy Laging Handa, Q.C.

We ordered a lot to satisfy our hungry tummy. While waiting for our food to be served, I took pictures of the place. I could say that it was the best place because I personally want to eat at restaurants that are not crowded and are peaceful. (GAHD! I want a relaxing place. My life's getting stressful each day!)

We took a cab back to UST

I went back to our organization room. Stayed there to wait for my friend.

Fast forward ...

It's already 8:30 PM and good thing my friend fetched me on time. While driving home, we had different cravings. One craved for pizza and in my case I craved for sweets. After some negotiations, we agreed to have our dinner at Milky and Sunny. (FINALLY!)

The place is pretty small, but still it has a perfect interior design. Relaxing and peaceful.

I wasn't able to roam around and took some of their beautiful displays.

This one is mine, Bacon and Spam Pasta (one of the best-seller!)

Brought this home, Strawberry Creamcheese

All the food were delicious and I will surely go back to Milky and Sunny! I wanna try everything. AS IN! very yummy foods...

This year's Valentine's Day was awesome. I may not spent it with a special someone, I know that it was well-spent with those special people in my life. And I can say that it'll be forever cherished. Thanks friends! much love <3
